:: 'The
Big Easy Cabaret Show with Joe'
The
Big Easy Cabaret Show with Joe is a jambalaya
of favorite New Orleans Rhythm & Blues,
Funk, Dixieland and Latin Jazz, Delta Blues,
and Cajun/Zydeco. (Basically any music that
is heard in and around New Orleans.) It is based
on Joe's four years living in New Orleans and
absorbing the music and culture there. Currently
a new show can be heard monthly on on NewOrleansRadio.com.
Over the last several years, Joe has built strong
relationships with both artists and record labels
heard on his show.
Previous to Joe's association
with NewOrleansRadio.com, he hosted the show
on air each Sunday night on KMTN, Jackson Hole,
WY. Over 6,000 listeners per quarter hour tuned
in to the Big Easy Cabaret Show with Joe across
parts of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Several
local record stores created Big Easy Cabaret
Show with Joe sections in the shops after fans
regularly requested the music played on the
show.

:: 'Maurice
Gull - Canuckteach Jazz'
Canuckteach
(that's me) is a jazz lover, collector, and
amateur webcaster. I hail from the Barrie-Orillia
area of Central Ontario in Canada, on the shores
of beautiful Lake Simcoe.
I've been a jazz-lover for decades, but before
we had the web, jazz-listening was limited in
this area either to specialty FM shows on weekends,
or late-night listening to CJRT 91-FM of Toronto
(now www.jazz.fm,
Canada'a only 7/24 jazz station). I started
researching jazz 'on the web' shortly after
the Web really sprung into action..
I hope you like the programs and
if you'd like to email me, send to canuckteach@jazzman.org!
:: 'Benni'
I'm Benni, and I've been a fan
of swing, traditional jazz, and bebop for several
years. I also collect jazz memorobilia and play
a little clarinet and drums. When I discovered
the world of jazz on the web, I listened to
several internet radio stations and started
my own, which was shut down recently due to
cost. Needless to say, I'm very happy to have
this show (which is my first narrated one)!
Most of the songs you'll be hearing are either
off of CD, or recorded directly from the original
records.
